Acclaimed American photographer Catherine Opie invites us into her Los Angeles studio to discuss Walls, Windows and Blood—a series of photographs of Vatican City created during the summer of 2021, when Opie was the Robert Mapplethorpe Resident in Photography at the American Academy in Rome.

Filmed on the occasion of the exhibition Walls, Windows and Blood, on view at Lehmann Maupin New York from February 8 to March 9, 2024.
