This day-long program of collaborative performance featured MacArthur Fellows Teresita Fernández, Raven Chacon (Dine/Chicano), and Natalie Diaz (citizen of the Gila River Indian Community/Akimel O'odham).
In connection with her SITE SANTA FE exhibition, Teresita Fernández / Robert Smithson, Teresita Fernández presented a visual essay titled Pauses Along A Curving Timeline. Then, Raven Chacon and Natalie Diaz performed sound and poetry, offering reflections on land, water, and place.

Artist and co-curator of the exhibition Teresita Fernández / Robert Smithson at SITE SANTA FE, Teresita Fernández discussed the construction of what has been historically defined as landscape with visiting curator Carla Acevedo-Yates, exploring what lies in its liminal and layered spaces, what and who is omitted and erased, and the colonial legacies that persist in how we have come to understand the land we occupy.
