Klara Kristalova’s drawings and ceramic sculptures are characterised by a deeply-felt personal idiom, tinged by myths and tales that we all carry with us and share. We encounter the human being and nature in an ambivalent interplay, everyday objects and events captured in the moment, dramatised and twisted. A recurrent character is the adolescent woman. In this comprehensive solo exhibition, Klara Kristalova presents a combination of large-scale and small sculptures, accompanied by a number of sketches, drawings and watercolours.
