Overview of Position
Lehmann Maupin is seeking a thorough, meticulously organized and detail-oriented individual to assist gallery Partner in sales and daily operations. Successful candidate will be self-motivated and ambitious, as well as eager to gain broad experience in a leading international contemporary art gallery. Position requires the utmost discretion and reliability, as well as sound judgement to make decisions independently when necessary, while also possessing the skills and demeanor to work within a larger team.  

Sales Assistant Responsibilities 
• Create and send previews of exhibitions, art fairs and auctions on behalf of Partner
• Create and send sales offers and outreach on behalf of Partner 
• Facilitate post-sale process together with Partner’s registrar 
• Manage Partner’s outreach and sales activity in inventory database 
• Manage Partner’s contacts in contact database
• Conduct market research for secondary market works
• Identify and research new potential sales targets 
• Interact with prospective and existing clients and conduct viewings on Partner’s behalf
• Proactively brainstorm offer ideas for existing clients

Executive Assistant Responsibilities
• Monitor & maintain Partner’s email
• Maintain daily to-do list including list of contacts for follow-up 
• Coordinate and manage meeting schedule and input into Partner’s calendar 
• Coordinate schedule changes and communicate clearly to necessary departments/parties 
• Assist Communications team with event organization: sending invites, tracking RSVPs 
• Coordinate frequent travel arrangements 
• Build clear, comprehensive and detailed itineraries around Partner’s travel schedule 
• Create, maintain, and submit expense reports 

Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 (Annual)
