Organized by the independent curator Manuel E. Gonzalez, this spare and beautiful show is surprising despite its familiar participants: Bruce Nauman, Robert Irwin, Mary Heilmann, Agnes Martin, Dan Flavin, Gego, Robert Smithson and Eva Hesse. With little-known works and thoughtful juxtapositions, it considers afresh the notion of visual perception as inherently destabilized, whether by the changing position of the viewer or the artist’s own formal interventions.
